Beth McKee, who moved to Orlando a dozen years ago, is a Mississippi native and former New Orleanian. She’s a piano player in the mold of Professor Longhair and a jook- joint trained blues belter. She also does a fine job of finding her way around an accordion. One can hear elements of cajun, rock, blues, soul, gospel and country in her music. Beth will be bringing her trio incarnation to the UU Dome concert; ie, Juan Perez and Dan Walters, both seasoned musicians in their own right, will be backing her up.

The Beth McKee Trio at the UU Dome promises to be a high energy, highly entertaining event. Don’t miss it.

2. CHARLIE MORRIS & FRIENDS @ THE UU DOME

WHO: Charlie Morris & Friends

WHEN: Sunday Sept 18, 2011; TIME: Concert 3 pm. Doors 2:30 pm; COST: $8 advance. $12 door.

Charlie, who makes his home in St Pete, is a touring musician, including abroad. His music reflects his personality, ie; he’s a sweetheart of a guy – a caring individual with a great sense of humor. He’s also a very talented songwriter – singer - instrumentalist. When he’s not on tour, he performs locally - much to the delight of his local fans. His latest CD, The Forest, is being released in September. Thus, his Dome Concert will be a CD Release Party.

Per Bonds at Big Leather Couch: Mr. Morris has the sound that I love. He knows how to pick a guitar and make it sing. There is that down-home blues/rock and roll quality about his songs that makes my feet begin tapping as soon as he hits the first note. In concert, he and the band have that funky tightness that might remind you of bands like Little Feat.

For sure – A LOT OF FUN - and great music - is what’s in store for us when Charlie Morris & Friends take the stage at the UU Dome.

Ronny has once again been invited to perform at the wonderful Woody Guthrie Free Folk Festival in Okemah, OK (Woody's birthplace). This is a free festival. The audience doesn't pay to attend. The musicians don't get paid to perform. They do it for the love of what Woody stood for and the honor of being invited to participate in the festival. This is a perfect festival for Ronny. Craig & I have attended the festival in the past and we’ve seen first hand just how much those folks in Okemah appreciate & love our Ronny & vice versa.

Lets get together & enjoy Ronny's great music & send Ronny to Okemah with some spending money in his pocket.
