www.richardgilewitz.com

As one of the most graceful fingerstyle guitarists on the contemporary acoustic scene, Gilewitz stands out in his command of the 6 and 12-string guitar. With wit, humor and musical genius, Richard takes an audience on a musical journey from the past to the present.

Richard's original compositions are interspersed with compositions by the European and Spanish Classical works of J.S. Bach, Andres Segovia, Alonso de Mudarra, Fernando Sor and Isaac Albeniz. Richard's Traditional Folk selections encompass the American Primitive sounds of John Fahey and Leo Kottke. Further enhancing the audiences listening pleasure is an array of songs which were influenced by The Blues, Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar and Bluegrass.

Per Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine, "To say Richard Gilewitz has a unique personality would be an understatement. His quick wit and twisted sense of humor has made him an entertainer as well as a fine guitarist. He interacts with his audience, and as he puts it" 'the whole room is in concert.' "

Per The Washington Post: "A craftsman who has cobbled together evocative details, pithy aphorisms and singalong melodies into a trunkful of unassuming, marvelous songs."

Bill is in his fifth decade of traveling back and forth across the country singing his songs and delighting his audiences. A New England native, Bill became involved with the Boston- Cambridge folk scene in the early 1960s. Bill weaves a magical blend of wit and gentle humor into his performances. His music is a slice of Americana, reflecting with ease, his feelings about the prairie people of the Midwest or the adventurers of the Yukon. He delights in having the audience participate in many of the numbers. And Vice Versa. Audiences especially enjoy singing along to his " All God's Critters Got A Place In The Choir."

He has numerous albums to his credit. His songs have been covered by numerous musical artists. He has appeared on numerous television and radio shows, including A Prairie Home Companion and Mountain Stage.

LAURIE MCCLAIN OPENS: Sweet Laurie is always a crowd pleaser with her gentle demeanor and music that warms the soul and tickles the funnybone. www.lauriemcclain.com

The event emcee will be Jeanne Holton, a long-time folk music dj at WMNF radio. Brendan Nolan Headlines:

Originally from Dublin Ireland, Brendan has been a resident of St Pete Beach since the early 90s. He has since endeared himself to acoustic music fans, not only in the St Pete/Tampa Bay area, but all across the state and beyond. Brendan's performances are spiced with good humor and innovative musicianship on guitar and bodhráán, and as Steve Winick noted in Dirty Linen magazine, "a rich baritone voice."

Joining Brendan in the lineup:

Parson Brown, Roseville Fair, and Neighbors.

Parson Brown: Parson Brown is Ed Lehmann, Karen Zack, and Dave Lassa. Parson Brown’s music is described as 60s inspired folk with a mix of introspection, humor, originality and tradition.

Roseville Fair: Roseville Fair is Jenny James and Ron Gilbert, a husband and wife duo who present down-to-earth, feel-good music with a romantic bent. In addition to their sweet vocal harmonies, they are adept instrumentalists on guitar, flute, Celtic whistle, mandolin, and banjo. http://rosevillefair.jjweb.us Neighbors:

Neighbors is Bill Dudley, Eddie Parshall and Pasco Paul. They are, in fact, neighbors, residing in rural Pasco and Hernando counties, who started getting together a while back to partake in some back-porch jamming. Those back-porch jams recently morphed into the formation of "Neighbors."

Good music for a good cause at Dave's Aqua Lounge. Don't miss it!
