Sun/Oct 30: FRIENDS OF FLORIDA FOLK MINI-FEST FUNDRAISER AT SKIPPER’S. 2 - 9 pm (approx). $10 (Kids 12 & under no charge). FEATURING: Parson Brown; Hot Flash; New Sand Mountain Wildcats; Juniper Trio; Jenny James & Ron Gilbert; Pamela Jo Hatley & Steele Olmstead; Keith Hope; Mark Carufel & Brian Rivers; Toby Bonar; Art Crummer; Pete Gallagher; Bobby Hicks. There will be traditional folk, Florida folk, contemporary folk, folk-rock, folk-blues, and Celtic-folk. The musicians will be singing and harmonizing and playing an array of instruments, such as guitar, dulcimer, fiddle, banjo, flute, bodhran, wash tub bass, and maybe even a kazoo or two.
GLORIA'S POSTSCRIPT: this was a great day -- a good time was had by all. Plsu some much needed cash was raised for FOFF. Many thanks to Skippers, the musicians, sound (Eddie Parshall) , emcees, and, OF COURSE, to the AUDIENCE.

Friday, Nov 4: HOODOO MOON BLUES CRUISE (a Suncoast Blues Society event which I'm touting). Board Island Time Charter Boat at 7:30 pm. Depart 8pm. Return 11pm. Island Time is docked at 4737 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach. (In the Dolphin Landings Shopping Center, East side of Gulf Blvd, behind the shops at the north end of the shopping center -- plenty of free parking) Join me & my blues loving friends as we enjoy a great evening of blues under the Hoodoo Moon. FEATURING: Outstanding Chicago Acoustic Blues Duo STEVE ARVEY & KRAIG KENNING. Music is on top deck below the hoodoo moon. Lower deck is enclosed w/ heat/AC/full cash bar. $25 per ticket.
