February 24, Wednesday, ACOUSTIC AIDOLON with THOMAS LOEFKE at a South Tampa House Concert. Acoustic Eidolon is Joe Scott on double neck guitjo and Hannah Alkire on cello (plus they both sing). Joe and Hannah have captivated audiences throughout the world with their signature "new acoustic" sound and their blending of Celtic, Folk, World & Latin music influences. Thomas Loefke, a Celtic harpist from Berlin, is currently touring with them, which means that their current repertoire is a bit more Celtic focused than their norm. This promises to be WORLD CLASS concert. $15-$20 suggested donation.

February 25, Thursday, PAUL GEREMIA & MICHAEL PICKETT CO-BILL at a South Tampa House Concert. The real acoustic blues deal. Times Two. STILL ON THE HILL at a South Tampa House Concert. The Ozarkian duo of KellyMulhollan and Donna Stjerna is always well received. . With Donna's fancy fiddlin' & Kelly's fancy mandolin & guitar pickin' PLUS their fine vocal harmonies and upbeat original songs, they..... "have grafted the wild climbing vines of bluegrass, folk, jazz, classical, jug band and blues onto the hardies of Ozark Mountain rootstock..." Per Julie Koechler, "Bluegrass Now."

March 11, Thursday, NORA JANE STRUTHERS at a South Tampa House Concert. Accompanying her will be Christian Sedelmyer on fiddle, mando and vocal harmonies. Singer-Songwriter-Accomplished Guitarist Nora Jane Struthers delivers a powerful live show complete with flat-footing, yodeling and original songs so clearly rooted in old time and bluegrass that audience members walk away with the feeling that they've seen something old and new, and utterly unique. Nora Jane is classic Americana. Last year she was a top ten finalist in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour competition. Also last year at the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, WV, she won the Best New Song competition . What's more, she (with her band) won 1st place in the Neo-Traditional Band Competition. "One of the finest singer-songwriters in America. There are a lot of good ones, but when it comes to the really great ones it boils down to a select few -- he's one of them" ---Larry Groce - Mountain Stage (National Public Radio) CANCELLED. SORRY.

April 1, Thursday. RONNY ELLIOTT at a South Tampa House Concert. The fact that Ronny's concert is on April Fool's Day Night is strictly coincidental.

April 28, Wednesday, DANNY SCHMIDT at a South Tampa House Concert. Austin, TX-based singer/songwriter Danny Schmidt draws comparisons to Leonard Cohen,Townes Van Zandt, and Dave Carter. Upon winning the prestigious Kerrville New Folk award in 2007, Sing Out Magazine declared Danny as "the best new songwriter we've heard in 15 years." Although his musical influences draw from deeply-rooted Appalachian mountaingospel to haunted English balladry, from syncopated Piedmont country blues to vagabond 60's protest folk-stumpery, it all boils down to just great songwriting in a singular style all his own. During Danny's last visit to the Tampa Bay area, he created quite a buzz. We anticipate the same thing happening this go-round.

April ? Tentative: RUTH WYAND Ruth is a great blues & folk singer from Kill Devil Hills, N.C. & an outstanding, award winning guitarist (slide, fingerstyle & flatpicking ).

May 15, Sunday. Note - this one is in the afternoon. KEVIN SO at a South Tampa House Concert. 4 pm. Doors 3:30 pm. The dynamic Kevin is always a crowd pleaser.

July - Sept 2010 TBA

Oct 19, Tuesday, 2010 . CLAUDE BOURBON from France - now living in London - Oh my gosh! Claude is an AMAZING! jaw-dropping guitarist & also an entertaining singer-songwriter -- He may not have much name recognition around here - but trust me - he is not to be missed. To say he wowed us last time he stopped by for a STHC, is an understatement. Plus he, his wife & son are delightful people.
